The Instru-med Story
Instrumedical Technologies, Inc. is a privately held company specializing in the manufacture of high quality, close tolerance instrumentation and implants for the medical industry. Founded in 1982, Instrumedical Technologies, also known as Instru-med, began with a concentration in tool and die machining. As demand for medical instruments increased, Instru-med expanded and continued its concentration within the orthopaedic industry to become a major second-tier supplier to orthopaedic companies.
In 1992, Instru-med was granted an initial registration of Device Establishment from the Food and Drug Administration. This provided the foundation of our comprehensive Quality System and resulted in additional certifications including ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003.
Our Warsaw, IN headquarters, in the heart of the Orthopaedic Capital of the World.
In 1998, we expanded our operations to our current lake front location on Center Lake in downtown Warsaw, Indiana purchasing a 60,000 square foot climate-controlled modern manufacturing facility.
Today we remain a privately held corporation allowing us to build and maintain relationships with orthopaedic companies and entities world wide. Our employees have a focused dedication to meeting the needs of our customers through enhancement of product quality, processes and delivery.
